If you live in Lancaster County you have noticed the odor that permeates the county during the spring. With more and more regulations for manure, farmers need to make changes. The Chesapeake Bay and Penn Vest has invested money to achieve that goal. This includes separator buildings, digesters, storage tanks & lagoons. These can hold the manure until you are able to spread it in the fields.
The photos on the right show a manure storage shed a couple of holding tanks and a couple of lagoons. I included the photo of the men working on the lagoon so that you will be able to see just how big it is.
